The Philippines has signed a supply agreement for 40 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech , the head of the government’s Covid-19 vaccine procurement said on Sunday.
Deliveries of the vaccine, among several brands of coronavirus shots allowed for emergency use in the Southeast Asian country, will begin “after eight weeks starting August”, Carlito Galvez said in a statement.
Londoners received tens of thousands of Covid jabs in just a few hours on Saturday as football grounds in the capital were transformed into mass vaccination centres.
Huge jab clinics have been set up at the London Stadium, Stamford Bridge, the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, the Valley, home of Charlton Athletic, and Selhurst Park.
